Solved How to disable windows sound completely

is it a registry hack? or a program ?
when i change a theme, that theme applies its own sounds behind. i dont like it & i want to disable the windows sounds completely (even while changing theme, without having to go and manually changing it to "no sounds" please.

I don't know about disabling sounds.
I just mute the System Sounds under the Volume Mixer.
Might help.

I suspect if you did enough file and folder renaming in the C:\Windows\Media area you could cause every theme to use identical sounds...

hmm. i don't want to do that though, cause i listen to music sometimes.
i just want to completely stop the windows sounds

Muting System Sounds won't affect any other forms of sound, only windows system sound.
