how to disable open file security warnings for GOOOOOD

THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT AND IT WORKS!!!! FINALLY!!!!!





I really hate those "are you sure" security questions. They just dull your senses towards security and people just learn to click through them anyways.
So, lets just save the trouble and get rid of them altogether.

• Fire up the Control Panel
• Select "Internet Options"
• Security
• Custom Level
• Under the "Miscellaneous" branch
• Find "Launching applications and unsafe files"
• Set it to "Enable (not secure)"
• Save your way out of there.

Now the security warnings are gone. However, Internet Explorer will complain everytime you open it by displaying an error page with a yellow information bar.
To get rid of it:

• Run "gpedit.msc"
• Under "Computer Configuration"
• Select "Administrative Templates"
• "Windows Components"
• "Internet Explorer"
• Change "Turn off the Security Settings Check feature" to "Enabled"

That should stop the annoying error messages.

Im having a issue,

Everytime I try to open IE..the Open With..box comes up..and its for anything I try to do..like open another tab in IE..or open any programs on my laptop. Does anyone have a idea how to make this go away?

gpedit.msc solution also worked for me, but only when i open files tru internet explorer

Hi ie addicts ))

It's unresolved for me, as i'm using firefox & added an open button in the ff's download manager,
so i get the same error in ff only, without an option to untick anything .. .

Any suggestions ?

None of these steps works for me (well I didn't try ztaylors as it's not IE that doing it for me)
Once I try tens' idea, I just get a box that says 'Open File, Do you want to open this file?' instead of the 'Open file - Security warning...' which really doesn't help any...
It's only some shortcuts/.lnk files on my desktop that do this, I don't know why. I've tried to remake shortcuts and everything
