Solved How to Reset Dual boot in Windows 7

I installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bit on my C: drive (155gb) later I installed windows 8.1 on my E: drive (155gb) and my D: drive (155gb as well) has some files.

I just formatted my E drive from Windows 7 to get rid of 8.1, yet I see on boot up asking which OS to load 8.1 or 7

I know its not proper way of getting rid of OS by just formatting the disk, now how do I reset the boot? like the way it looked before.

But in disk management I don't see windows 8.1 anymore cuz I formatted it already

Now how do I remove the 8.1 option in boot?

In the tutorial I linked in Post #2 see what it says in Step 3 to cleanup bootmgr using EasyBCD.

When I googeld it I found the same process and I though Step 1 is Mandatory

So I posted it here how to ?

I only need to perform Step 4 & 5

although I performed Step 3 nothing happened

anyway now I reset my boot

Did you delete the WIn8 Partition in Disk Mgmt, or just format it. The correct way to uninstall an OS is always to delete it in Disk Mgmt (after marking it Inactive if necessary) or using a partition manager or the Win7 installation disk.

Then repartition in Disk Mgmt.

I just formatted the E drive after that I knew that's not correct procedure

now I have LINUX in E drive partition (I deleted E partition through disk management)
