Sure thing. But it looks like following the setup for Ubuntu did everything without even needing me to create a separate partition.

I can't explain it (also, I had shrunk the partition before installing Ubuntu, but then extended it after I saw the space was listed as unused). Here's a screenshot of the partitions from linux.

I guess I must have. It would do that by default, right? 'Cause I just ran the installer and it did everything for me.

And I get the Windows boot loader.

Yeah, it's there.

That's the best way to me, it's installed to a virtual HDD within Windows and this way you will never have boot issues between Windows and Grub and it (Linux) can be uninstalled in the "Programs and Features" in the Control Panel like any other installed program.

It's doing everything you need it to do, right?
