Hi, and I'm back after several years of hibernation (I know, bad pun. ehehehe)

Well, we all know how nifty Hybrid Boot is, logging off and hibernating the system files and all for a quick boot. Now here is the question, is it possible to add Hybrid Boot to Windows 7? Of course I did some googling, and I found none so far.

Copying shutdown.exe from 8 to 7 sounds absurd but that's all that comes to mind :o

Anyone? Someone?

A batch file can be made for this sequence but it's terminated after logoff.

That seems to be a task to make 7 hibernate? Correct me if I am wrong. He doesn't go into much detail. The Windows 8 hybrid boot is much more, but this may help the OP ;)

It just hibernates after you logoff. Everything loaded when you are in log off screen will be hibernated.

No it not the same like windows 8 but it is like part of it. Note that you actually replaces logoff.

If you use this rename the .txt extension to .zip because he made this wrong.
