I'm getting an SSD, so I was trying to move all my files that I need to keep to another partition on my hard drive, then I was going to install windows 7 on my SSD and delete the windows partition (with all my files already on the other partition) off my HDD.
So, first I had to shrink my current windows partition. The windows 7 partition manager wasn't working for me so I put in my Xubuntu live CD to use GParted. I told it to shrink my windows partition(/dev/sda2 in the picture below) and move it to the left, and this happened -
I can't do anything with the partition except delete or format it. When I try to load windows I get an error about the disk not existing, and the windows startup repair finds nothing. Is there anything I can do to recover my data?
