Icons going to pictures?

When using chrome as a browser, it is copying all icons to my pictures. All I want in pictures is pictures. It puts PDF's icons, quicken icons etc each time I use one of those files. Not sure if IE does this. I use chrome 99% of the time.

Is there anyway way to stop this?

Are you using some sort of media downloader extension? You might try it from an Incognito window and see if it saves then (Incognito disables extensions temporarily)

I don't know what that is? How to I determine if I am using one or not? Is there a problem with disableing it? How do I do that?

If you don't know, you probably don't have one. But the method I mentioned above would disable all extensions while in Incognito mode. To see what extensions you have installed:
