Icons off the screen in 7057

its true. that works. But when you add a new wicon. you have to align the screens to find the icon and move it, then reposition the screens.

Also are you on build 7057? i assume so... I Have my monitors Stacked. If you check out the other forum on this

i posted 3 pics. But this is another problem.

I click and drag, and only half the screen can be ... used for desktop space, gadgets, icons and the "click and drag" box only go /\ that far down

I too am having this issue with Windows 7 Build 7057 x64. I've narrowed it down to multiple monitors and the fact that this build doesn't appear to like you having your primary monitor as anything other than the left-most display. I have a 3 monitor setup consisting of a 22" at 1680 x 1050 in the middle, and 2 x 17" at 1280 x 1024 on either side. All my icons are stuck on my left monitor, but I can drag them about a third of the way to my middle screen at which point it picks up the boundary change. This means I either have to disable the left monitor, or I have to re-arrange it to be to the right of my main monitor and just try to remember that its now the right-most screen instead of the left-most. Obviously this is a VERY temporary workaround.

Other things I found that led to this were disabling the 'Auto Arrange Icons', but leaving 'Snap to Grid' on. I haven't cleaned my desktop in a while so I have about 4 rows of icons, and the fourth row had a vertical offset right where the boundary detection figured my second monitor was. It appears to use the resolution of your primary display and apply that as a boundary to your left most display, maybe even ALL displays. I found this out by switching my 22" to 1280x1024, at which point it all seemed to work just fine. Any attempt to change to a higher resolution offset the icons again.

Sorry this is so longwinded, just wanted to share what i've worked out. Sadly i'm pretty sure this is going to be a windows issue rather than a drivers issue, so we're probably going to have to wait for the next build / RC-1 before this gets resolved, and hopefully someone else will have picked up on it before then....

Hey inversation
I agree with your error issues, but I think that the problems is with Windows 7 and its reaction to the video drivers, I have run a few Debugging test (on the x64 bit platform) and found a few handle and thread issues with specifically the nVidia Beta Driver pack x64, a few other tests that I ran on one of my laptops for comparison found the drivers working on an average level.
These issues are similar to ones I found happening on Windows XP x64 version with multiple Monitors and Video Cards. I think that nVidia needs to get there s*(t together, I believe that the future is going to show greater use of x64 bit platforms by general users.
