I use Internet Explorer 10 with Win 7 Premium. Every second day I have to tell IE to go to the new tab whenever I open a new tab. Is there a way to tell it just once and make it stick?

Personally I've found Center click/ Mouse wheel click to be the most predictable method,
I use these setting and most of the time it works,
Alt+TO or Gear symbol and Internet options,
General section/ Tabs button,
