IE11 Won't install, no error code!

I'll be honest here and say that I have no idea what your problem is caused by.
However, the DeepClean.log file contains the following errors...
Code:
 Line 5661: 2015-05-27 15:01:57, Info CBS Failed finalizing changes [HRESULT = 0x8007371b - ERROR_SXS_TRANSACTION_CLOSURE_INCOMPLETE]
 Line 5662: 2015-05-27 15:01:57, Info CBS Failed finalizing transaction [HRESULT = 0x8007371b - ERROR_SXS_TRANSACTION_CLOSURE_INCOMPLETE]
 Line 5663: 2015-05-27 15:01:57, Info CBS Failed removing superseded packages [HRESULT = 0x8007371b - ERROR_SXS_TRANSACTION_CLOSURE_INCOMPLETE]
 Line 5664: 2015-05-27 15:01:57, Info CBS PerformDeepClean failed. [HRESULT = 0x8007371b - ERROR_SXS_TRANSACTION_CLOSURE_INCOMPLETE]
Whether this is related, I don't know.

This error appears to result from an older versiov of the Windows Update Agent...
Code:
2015-05-27 15:10:54, Info CBS WUClient-SelfUpdate-Core-TopLevel~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~7.6.7600.256 superseded - uninstalled
Errors such as this are difficult to pin down, and historically, are most likely to be solved by a repair install.

Thanks Noel - looks like I may have to do a repair install. Whilst I backup my system regularly, I've been trying to avoid this. Am I correct in thinking that a repair install will leave all my programs and anything installed, plus saved docs and photos etc. intact? Just saves me having to copy them all back over :s

As always, the advice must be to back up your data to external media before attempting anything so far-reaching!

Yes, your programs and data will generally be preserved - a couple of settings may revert back to default, but should be readily correctible.
