Inbuilt Mic not working

My laptop is Acer 4736z,intel pentium processor T4200,3gb memory,320gb HDD,Windows 7....Inbuilt mic is not working.checked in control panel->hardware and sound->sound,microphone signal is moving...also when i record a voice,i can see its moving while opening the file,but cant hear..how can I fix this issue?
