Is it possible to install live essentials other than the c: drive? So far it always defaults there and I see no opportunities to change install destination.

thanks :)

If you are alluding to Windows Live Mail then you can easily achieve the desired objective by choosing another location on another drive for your mail storage.

Go to Options>Advanced>Maintenance>Store Folder to do that.

Perhaps the reason is that Windows Live Essentials are integrated seamlessly with the Windows OS and are installed as an extension of the OS. May be some one with greater knowledge shall be able to throw more light on your query.

There's no reason to install the app to some other drive. If the space is what you are concerned about, you can move the data as mentioned above. The apps themselves take up little room.
