Installed windows 7 and cant get updates??

Ive just formatted my hd and reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 32bit onto it. This went on fine with no problems. however, when i went on the net i initially found that i couldnt download the adobe flash player as it comes up with "actionlist not found". Also when viewing websites it keeps saying "certificate error" meaning im having to click "show blocked content" on every site i visit! The smart screen filter says its temporarily unavailiable but has been for several days now and not chamnged. And finally, i went into the updates section, tried to search for new updates as i thought this may be the problem, and it come up with "Errors found Code 80072F8F"

Is there something within the install i have missed? or done wrong? Hoping someone can help! Jstguk

Make sure you have installed all the SYSTEM drivers, Video, Sound, Chipset and the like, then do Windows Update as sometime you need them for IE to work correctly. Or try a different web broswer.

Is your computer date and time correct?

the Date and Time are correct yes, as on the installation, i set them to the area i live in. And as for the drivers, Ive not got a driver disk to run, so is there a website i can download them direct from? Cheers
