Intel IDT Audio Driver will not install

Need Help

Hi guys!
Hi have this problem. I have a Intel D945GNT Mobo, and I could get sound from the SP/DIFD Digital Optical Output that is in the back of my mobo, and is conected into a Yamaha reciever.. Under XP works perfect, and i get Dolby Digital & DTS, but under windows 7 Ultimate (X86), only a lousy stereo.
And I could get the proper drivers for that mobo, because in intel the don't have and they don't going to make it!
Thanks in advance.
Leandro.

Hi,

You are God..thanks a lot.seriously i was searching the entire internet to get my surround work in win 7.. al in vain.i tried al drivers ..nothing worked..still now i am using stero speakers..Not anymore..ur trick worked.again thanks a lot (BOWING)..great work..Infact u prevented me from buying a new sound card ..:cool::cool:

Well, i found a relatively easy fix....
Step 1:
Ok, first you need to copy the sound driver files
off the cd that came with your motherboard into any folder on your computer.

For example, "D:\Sound\IDT"

Step 2:
Second, navigate to the folder you pasted the drivers in.
Then go to IDT, then WDM and lastly Vista.

Step 3:
Next, open both ---_WRT_---_--_--.INI files in notepad.
For example mine were called, "ECS_WRT_202_G2_DY.INI" and "ECS_WRT_206_G2_DY.INI"
Under the [Models] category remove all occurences of "&SUBSYS_--------"
For example it should read,"
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7682=this
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7682=this
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7683=this
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7683=this
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7680=this
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7682=this
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7683=this
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7680=this
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7682=this
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7683=this"

Now save both files and start the copied installer, and it should work.:D

Other question.... Why it didn't work for 64bit?.... What can I do? Because I use the same installer but nothing happen :(

I have a Intel D946GZIS mainboard and I used AUD_allOS_D20001.0x_PV_IDTGUI_v105_Legacy.exe for Audio driver. When I checked Recording devices list, the Stereo Mix was enable. But when I set it as default device, It doesn't work.
What should I do to solve this problem? (I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate). Thanks a lot!

I tried to install the Intel IDT drivers that were listed for my Intel DP35DP motherboard on the Intel site. They are listed for "AllOS". They worked when I had Vista installed but they will not install and the installation aborts in Windows 7 with a notice that the hardware is not compatible. I installed an HTO Striker 7.1 PCI sound card and now have full sound for Windows 7.

My MoBo is D945GNT with the problematic Sigmatel sound card.

1. With XP not any problem with the drivers
2. Vista, I had it just for minutes to make the upgrade to W7
3. In W7, the driver 6.10.20001.0 provided by Intel https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=13706 (for Vista) gave some problems, but finally installed

Windows 8 compatibility check didn´t warn on the driver, but after the upgrade to Windows 8 ended, it rolled back to W7 because of the driver incompatibility.

Days ago I installed an NVIDIA video card; after that, (but not immediately rather than at the third boot) the system uninstalled the 6.10.20001.0 driver and installed a generic Windows one, not working at all. Lost the sound and microphone.

Then, I found this driver in INTEL site https://downloadcenter.intel.com/De...D=19282&lang=eng&wapkw=audio+idt*+92xx+driver, but it won´t install.

Tried everything over the weekend; ended installing the driver with devcon (Microsoft developer’s tool) but got CODE 10 driver not working.

So, ended installing the Sigmatel Dell 5.10.0.4568 old driver (for Dell). Installed and worked right away; but after a reinstall, lost the microphone.

Ended purchasing a PCI sound card; plugged in the speakers in the Sigmatel card, and headphones and microphone in the PCI sound card.

It seems Intel drivers are problematic for this card.

Wanted to share my solution.
