Intel Turbo Memory Driver for windows 7

I do not know how the Windows Experience rating works but mt laptop is running really fast after I installed Windows 7 x64

I guess the problem is because we have installed the drivers in compatibility mode.

I have a pretty decent config, but still for my "primary hard drive" (a Seagate SATA2 7200.2 3.0Gb/s) transfer rate it gives me a rating of 2.0 but things are really fast ... so I have stopped bothering about it ...

Only thing that bothers me is that I am not able to initialize Windows ReadyBoost ... only ReadyDrive is enabled which means only 512MB of the total 1GB Turbo memory is being used.

Guess we'll have to wait for better drivers from Intel

I dont think intel released any windows 7 drivers yet.

We will have to wait for the official RC atleast.

Drivers work fine for me out of box in 7068... can't say the same about 7000.

If the intel turbo memory hardware and drivers are the same across the board regardless of your laptop model (like Nvidia drivers) you could get them from an alternative manufacturer.

The Acer 6935 64bit drivers work perfectly in Windows 7, though I'm running an Acer 8920 so it's only marginally different.

I found this in another forum and made some corrections:

Download newest Intel Memory Driver from Intel's website:
Intel® Turbo Memory Intel® Turbo Memory driver

If previous link doesn't work just google INVM19ENU.EXE and download it.

extract the driver with command line: INVM19ENU.exe -a -p
(the extracted files end up in program files in the intel directory)
overwrite the nvccoin.dll found in c:\windows\system32 with the new version found here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel Matrix Storage Manager\winall\INVM\x64\
Copy the new nvccoin.dll file into C:\windows\syswow64\ as well
Now reinstall the driver by just running INVM19ENU.EXE normally ...it should work now

I didn't have any problems... Win7 x64 build 7100. I don't remember doing anything fancy to get this installed.

Perhaps 7100 had no problems...I never tried that build.

But build 7600 Final RTM on a fresh install did require the work around.

Intel Turbo Memory

I have Windows 7 RTM installed on my laptop. I have had to "Troubleshoot compatability" to get ITM to install with all three versions of Win 7, beta, RC, and RTM. With this new build, however, it causes a BSOD almost immediately, and repeatedly! I did not have this issue with the RC, this is new with RTM.

I tried the latest driver 1.10.0.1012 on Windows 7 RTM x64 and still does not work. I can get the driver loaded and the dashboard as well. But when i try to load apps, it doesn't decrement the "used" space. Also, when i click "advanced" on an app that i accelerated, it shows nothing checked. When i try to check something to accelerate, it pops open a box and says something along the lines of "Cannot accelerate, something is wrong...etc". I have the 4 GB module but it says 3.1 GB is available?? also, when i open up the turbo module matrix manager, it shows Readyboost disabled but readydrive enabled. Any ideas if this is the way it supposed to work? i would assume that i could add apps into the "accelerated" pane and see the amount of data that it is accelerating. I tried all the workarounds, including uninstall/reinstall numerous times. Can someone confirm that the latest driver actually works?

I just downloaded the new driver (console shows 1.10) and I have both boxes enabled... but I don't have the pinning app and no right-click ability to accelerate... so I dunno. I have the newer 2MB module... so it should be there.

The Turbo Memory controller shows up in dev mgr with the correct driver rev. on it, and the cache itself shows up under my drives as IMD-0. Disk mgt. shows 1.37GB free (100%).

So... I uninstalled the disk itself, rebooted twice and the ReadyBoost was unchecked. I checked it, had to reboot again and now the check is in it, but I still don't have the pinning ability. I kinda remember a seperate app for it but there's no such thing listed on intel's site. I may try the version from Dell again.

I actually managed to get it the driver and console installed successfully. It even loaded apps and decremented the "used space/free space" in the top left... but.. it spins up the CPU to 30-40% for long periods of time... I called Intel and all they had to say was that Windows 7 x64 is "not supported yet". So you may think its working, but i doubt it. I will wait until a newer version comes out that supports x64 RTM.
