Hello, I am having a dickens of a problem. Basically, the internet connection keeps dropping on my laptop through the wifi. The actual connection to the router doesn't stop, just internet connectivity. When this happens, if I put the computer to sleep and turn it back on, the internet reconnects. Many times when this happens, if I try the troubleshoot problems thing in Windows, it says the default gateway is missing, it repairs it, and reconnects. The problem seems to happen more with heavy bandwidth type browsing such as viewing Youtube or streaming video. It will sometimes do it every minute! There doesn't seem to be any problems with other computers/phones connected to my network, just this particular laptop.

Try changing the router wifi channel from 6, lot of people near you showing in Xirrus shot. Make sure router not near a wireless phone base or any other electronic devices. Check your hardware settings power management tabs in properties for your adapter, make sure box is not checked to allow computer to put device to sleep to save power.

As DM says mate as devices like cordless phones, microwave ovens etc use the 2.4GHz frequency for their function.

You might also try setting the router to only use the N wireless protocol.

Sorry that we did not directly answer your question earlier.
Everything in the first post looks fine.
(Nice, well written, complete post - BTW.)

How did you determine this?
The actual connection to the router doesn't stop, just internet connectivity.

Maybe the info in this post (and the post below it) can verify where you are losing connectivity.

Because the bars in the taskbar are still highlet but the little triangle pops up saying there is no internet connectivity.

I think I may have actually at least made the problem better by disabling the Mircrosoft virtual wifi miniport.
