Solved Invisible folder thats there, but its not?

Hello everyone, im new to this forum and I came here with a slight problem that I need to have fixed. I recently downloaded a game, and set the install directory to my Program Files (x86) and when I go to see where the folder is for the game, its not there!
I've already tried showing all hidden files/folders etc and it still has not appeared.

There is only one place where I can see this folder, and its when I go to install it and I choose the directory as the Program Files (x86), as you can see in the pictures

Where I can actually see the file:

In your first pic if you slide that slider up where is the originating branch of that folder tree?

Hi, umm that is just the Program Files (x86) opened up.
Such as if you went to open your C:\ and clicked on Program Files x86\

Edit: In the first picture is me opening the installer as if i was going to install the game (this is after i already set the directory to the program files x86 and installed it once)

Yeah, I understand that. I was just wondering if you slid that up can you confirm that is the directory where you are looking for it?

Yeah I can confirm that it is the correct directory as I have just checked now.

I cannot seem to just right click on the folder and delete it either, It wont let me.

Yeah, I've tried deleting from the dialog box before too.

Have you tried a restart and see if shows up then?

Yes, I have tried restarting my computer a couple times, I was going to try and see if I could delete the file through CMD but I didn't want to take the risk as I might accidentally delete something else.

Im trying to find it and delete it, its taking up a huge portion of my small SSD.

How about the hidden AppData folder?

What about it? There is nothing in there related to this Dead Island game.

All i did was set the directory in the Program Files x86 for the game files to be installed in there in a folder called DeadIsland, except now I cannot view the folder at all or see it.

That doesn't mean that's the only place it put anything.

Have you tried a utility like WinDirStat - Windows Directory Statistics or Download Disk Space Fan 4 - Fast disk space analyzer and duplicate file remover

to see if you can find it, if it's as large as you say it should stand out.

I just installed the Disk Fan thing (with the little bit of space I have left) and even THAT doesnt show the folder containing the 5gb+ folder. Any other suggestions?

Are you sure it's there? How do you know it's 5Gb?

You can try Ccleaner, there's a portable version here, CCleaner - Builds

Nevermind, I figured out how.

The fix: Go into My Computer and search for "Island", it was under the directory C:\Users\(profilename)\Appdata\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)

So it was in the appdata folder.
