Hello,

Updated to the latest Java version.
Big mistake.

Many links and sites that I never had any problem with now will not open.

Message(s) keep appearing that Java blocked it because of some kind of security concern.
Why ?

If anyone is familiar with Java, I'm not, how do I get it to accept "everything" again, like it always has.

How can I disable this nonsense ? I'll take my chances, as I know that all of these blocked sites are just fine.

I would like to do something "Globally," so I don't have to enter each site individually in what I think is an Exceptions List that you can use that they have (but not sure) ?

Much thanks,
Bob

I had This problem before, And I know the Solution. Go to Your Start, Search Java(Or Click All programs) And find the Java folder Click Configure Java. Click the Security Tab And Slide The Thing To medium And click accept.

One Thing You Can Also Do is Add The Site To your Exceptions List By clicking Edit Site List.

Hello,

Thanks for help.

In the very latest update, the only options on the "slider" are two:

High, and very high ! No more Medium

Java - what do you need it for?

Well if you don't need it enabled in your browser take a look at how to disable it (in your browser)

Software Reviews: How to Disable Java

That should sort out the problem.

What do you actually use Java for? I don't have it installed and will only ever install it on an as and when needed basis - then I'll remove it when I finished doing whatever I need for. I have not needed java at all during the last year.

Some software might require Java. If you don't have software that requires Java - just remove it.
