Hi, I just upgraded from Vista Ultimate to 7 Ultimate, and only one problem encountered, and that's with MS Project 2007 - I had to do a repair to get that to work. All in all, great new product from MS...much better then Vista running in a virtual box using Fusion3 and SnowLeopard. Cheers!

that's really funny Darryl but we have one pc in our studio and no one will touch it. but everyone will run windows in a virtual window:)

So my ad would have to be "I'm a Mac in reality, but I'm a PC on reality TV" - or something like that...

BTW, can someone provide insight into upgrading from XP SP 3 on a dell desktop, to Win7? Is it true u loose all your programs and settings? I need to upgrade our lone PC in the studio, and don't want to mess it up:)

This is my first time ever being positive about a Microsoft o.s.
At last my laptop chrashes no more. Now running 64 bit with all new Cubase 5 and serveral VST plugins and sound editing apps.
I've been waiting to do this but Cubase was not available in 64bit, and now it is.:cool:
Hurraaaaaaayy!! is it just me, or is the system running faster?:D

(I am testing it first on my Toshiba Qosmio G40 before i'm going to install it on my new
INTEL Core i7 965 Extreme PC.)

A lot of people didn't 'like' Vista, that's ok.

I started using it at SP1 and thought it was a good OS.
It may not be for everybody, and there are other choices.
That's what makes this world such an interesting place, individuals and choice.
