KB977713 and KB976881 fail under Windows 7

Hoping someone can help me out.

Windows Update (Windows 7 HP) trying to install Office Outlook Junk Email Filter (KB977713) and Security Update for PowerPoint 2003 (KB976881) - but failing.

Things tried so far:

1. Restarted Office Source Engine, as recommended by: Windows Update error 80070643

Failed.

2. Tried rebooting and reinstalling.

Failed.

3. Tried taking system recommended install and shut down. The Windows 7 shut down screen says it's updating, but on restart, it says fail.

It's puzzling, because I've installed Office updates before on this exact same PC.

Any suggestions? Thank you!

2.If really nothing help just reinstall Office or better upgrade to newest version

Found the answer and just posting it here in case anyone in the future encounters the same issue.

It's pretty simple -- just uninstall Office 2003 -- and reinstall. After reinstalling, the Windows Updates applied fine.

Strange but true.
