Lenovo T60p W7 Shutting down randomly <EventID>41</EventID>

I have a user who’s laptop is shutting down unexpectedly maybe 3 times a week. Please help, see dump file.

UPDATE: It seems to be related to USB DisplayLink adaptor driver if I read the dump file correctly. I updated Displaylink software/driver to the latest and I’ll what happens.

Try to update it from DisplayLink: Windows Software.

But, the main reason behind it is the display driver.

Lenovo doesn’t support this notebook with W7 drivers. The ATI Mobility FireGL V5250 driver from Dec 2008 actually is latest driver picked up by W7 Update. I rolled back the driver to this Windows Vista driver by installing over the one from 2008:

Video driver (ATI Mobility Radeon, FireGL PCI Express-2) for Windows Vista (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad R60, T60, T60p, Z61m, Z61p

I’ll keep you posted if notebook stops crashing.
