Hello, I have this problem of not being able to uninstall the Lexmark program/driver for it. I had the KSOD (Black Screen Of Death) and had to restore multiple times in order to fix it. The program may have been corrupt from the restore or I just screwed up. The installation disk doesn't work as it just loops with the uninstall and the Lexmark removal tools doesn't help either. Add/Remove programs in control panel doesn't work and removing system files don't work either. I'm trying to install the program again as its corrupt. Please help me.

Try uninstalling the Printer Driver from within Device Manager.
You may have to reconnect the printer to do this, not sure!
Make sure, if you reconnect the printer, that you disconnect
it before you reboot or it will find a driver for it again.
Then, if its still in programs & features, try uninstalling it
again.

Won't hurt to try. ;)

I still recommend you do a Repair Install, or a System Recovery, if repair does'nt work. With a clean system, you can try installing the printer software, step by step, with your printer's manual. If it does'nt install then. I'd recommend you call Lexmark. You may have some bad printer installation software.

What Brand and model is your computer. How do you connect to you printer, with a USB cable? Printer drivers, or full feature printer software for your printer is available for download on the Lexmark site. But, your computer, in it's present state, may be unable to install the printer. This is why I have recommended the repair or reinstall of the OS.

Haha I have found the solution and is putting the effort to type it out because of future people who might need this. This is damn risky but is worth a try because if this fails, you will have to reinstall you OS again anyway. Ok so first of all, try using uninstall programs like IOrbit Uninstaller and try too force it to uninstall, second is the way I did it. You have to go into the Registry (Start, and type "regedit" or Start, and type Run, then type "regedit") and delete all of the keys of the program. An easy way to do this is to it search the registry (Ctrl+F, or Edit and "Find"). Make sure the key/value is from the program by either hovering your cursor over the key and looking at the info or by double clicking it. If you have confirmed that it is from the program, Then you may go ahead and delete it. If you can't delete the key because of its stupid permissions, then try to find out where its located on your hard drive and then delete there. If you still can't delete the key/value, then just leave it there. Delete all of the keys and then try to install the program desired. If all else fails, then resort to the methods mentioned above. I do not take any responsibly if your computer gets corrupt or any other kind of damage. Thank You for reading this.

Another way to remove any printer is to navigate to "C:\Windows\System32\spool" and look for any file with your printer on it. use this siteBruce's Printing Pages
