Limit to wireless connections on a network?

Is there a limit to the number of connections you can have on a network? I have a laptop that only connects while using an ethernet cord. This has happened with a previous laptop and i never got that laptop to connect without using an ethernet chord. I have an actiontec router MI424WR.

Yes there is but it is not your problem. The finite number of concurrent connections is at least 10.
