Live bootable 7 64bit dvd

Hello people .... I'm just new to windows 7 , new laptop with 7 64bit . I was wondering if there such a thing as a live bootable disk for windows 7 64 bit ?

No. You can't run Windows 7 from a DVD. You must install it onto a non-removable hard drive. Or are you asking if there is a Windows 7 PE disc available?

I would just like to be able to place a disc into my optical drive and it loads a windows operating system were I can if need be reformat my c drive . I have a laptop which is partition into 2 drives . ( C , F drives ) My F drive has a True Image backup of my C drive . Every now and then I like to be able to reformat the c drive were later on I can just do a recovery with True Image live disc and restore my c drive ... So what is it I would need , thanks

BTW this windows copy is not a hidden or product recovery , its an actual windows 7 oem version , it has nothing to do with the laptop company

I assume you mean you have an Acronis True Image System Backup Image file (.tib) on your F drive.
If that's the case, you do not need to run Windows (or anything) to format the C partition prior to restoring the Image file.
The Acronis restore operation will format the partition and restore the Image.

It's also advisable to keep backup images on at least two hard drives.
If one hard drive fails, you still have a 2nd backup location available...

My Acronis TI has built in Help.
Click on the ? icon (show help) in the upper right to open the Help.

You could also look on the Acronis Website for info...

Are you referring to Acronis DriveCleanser ? If so ? Does that not destroy the drive or is it meant to reformat ? I will take a look at your suggestions to but I thought to ask that question any way about ADC

I see DriverCleaner is a tool in Acronis TI.
I've never used it.

I use Backup, Restore, and sometimes mount an Image...
I don't do anything fancy...i prefer to create Backups manually when i want...

Yes , that is what I'm talking about to . The rescue disc which you can create with the ATI program . Also your ATI is it 2012 version ?

Yes, you can create the Recovery disc from the TI program.
I'm pretty sure you can also use the Original CD to run TI and do Backups and Restores.
I use Acronis TI 2009.

Be sure to make the Acronis Rescue disk in case Win7 becomes unbootable. I also make my images from mine, as I don't like the services Acronis turns on in Win7 which I must keep editing.

It's risky to keep your backup image on the same HD.

If you have Acronis Univeral Restore on your version then you can also reimage to any other hardware.

How good of a job does it perform ? Reason why I am asking I have done it and it seem to do it so quick , were as when you do a reformat with windows disk management it seem to do a really good job ... Am I wrong to think other wise ? Thanks

Anything on that partition is completely replaced with the new image. Nothing survives. It is completely unnecessary to format the partition yourself.

I let them run on my systems, and haven't ever found them to cause issues.

The only way I've ever used (and will ever use) Acronis is to have a bootable CD and image from the installed HD to an external HD, using an external HD caddy. I don't see the point in having it constantly running on a PC.

That how I am set up as well , though I even have 2 external drive just to be safer lol

I don't like anything running in the background except Windows services, especially an app I use only rarely.
