Okay I know this is stupid and I have read similar topics but was wondering if by chance mine could be resolved. Basically all I did was Overclock BIOS but now I can not see on the monitor. I know your general first answer is "F8" for safe mode but that does not work also mainly because I can not see where it is in the loading process. So if this can be resolved great! My whole goal to begin with was to get the 4gb ram to be recognized but made one slip up and now I am here.

Please tell me you didn't try to overclock the laptop in your system specs...

First of all, you should reset your BIOS. Normally, there is a three pin reset jumper on the motherboard (assuming that this isn't the lappy) that you need to move from its' current position to the reset position for a few minutes, then move it back. You board's manual will have the location for it pictured somewhere.

If that doesn't work, you will need to remove the CMOS backup battery (the little coin cell) for about a half hour, and then put it back in and try to boot up.

If you can get it to boot again, with a screen, set the BIOS to defaults, save, and then reboot.

Please post back with the results, and maybe some more information on what it was you tried to do. Maybe we can help.

If you have a laptop, you will need to remove part of the bottom casing to remove the battery to reset your BIOS.
