Maybe, there was a lot of hype and ballyhoo over Bulldozer and it was a disappointment to many. By 2015 I suspect Intel will have launched their Broadwell platform.

AMD seem to just through more cores in the pile, crank the wattage up and think volume of cores is going to cover up that fact that their technology is a day late and dollar short.

Hi there.

With their far superior graphics and decent robust CPU's- I'd tend to stick to INTEL these days --it always seems to work.

Any time I've had problems with Video etc it's always been a combination of Nvidia and AMD. Since INTEL seems to have its act back together I can't really see any need for EITHER NVIDIA or AMD any more. A few years ago there were problems with the mobile chipset with intel915 drivers - but that's ancient history now.

Tell that to my fx8350 Pretty awesome in my book. I like AMD, but intel I will admit does a better job overall with drivers. That is where amd stinks.

I agree with you in so far as most business computers go. But not for Home users.

Here is the latest comparison of graphics cards from Toms. Intel is a long way back and needs to get a lot faster before Nvidia and AMD are out of business. It puts their fastest processor at about the same speed as a GTX7800. It was a good card in it's day and I had one of them. I retired it from my system in 2008, replacing it with a faster card. ( Just had another look at the chart. It is the same speed as the mobile 7800GTX and is actually a bit slower than the one I replaced in 2008.)

I may give AMD CPU a chance one day in the future, heck there alot more cheaper to build. CPU, RAM, Motherboard around $1K.
