Microphone too quiet !

I just bought a Behringer C1U and i know know why but the first time worked well , but now my microphone is too quiet and every setting from control panel is on Loud . I have Windows XP .
Please help . Thank you .

I had this problem too.

I solved it by using VSTHost, VAC and some Reaper plugins.
Turn up the volume in the Reaper equalizer and you'll hear the difference.

Also, for what program do you use your mic?
For example: Skype has its own sound settings.

Make sure that you arent too far away from your mic, and maybe use an suspension.
