Solved migrate hdd to ssd

So frustrating.
1. I'm using Booticex64.exe, not Booticex86.exe, OK?

Looks like a mess. Not clear what you did clone or image, or both, multiple partitions, more than one active, one of them with damaged filesystem.

I would start again.

delete all parts on the flash drive.

Then use something reliable like aomei backupper to create bootable media on the flash drive. Make sure it is ntfs because fat32 can't take large files.

Then create an image from within windows with aomei and store it on the flash drive.

That will not be clone, it will be an image, which can be applied to your new disk.

SIW2, I think you're right. EaseUS has been a good backup app, but will start over and use aomei.
Will let you know how it goes as a courtesy.
You in SF? Lived there for years. Now in Cloverdale. Just missed the fires.

SIW2 - you wouldn't believe the hassles I've gone through with EaseUS. 3 backups (3 hrs) each plus all the chats, and finally found the app download was corrupt. R&D sent new version. By then I'd bought a cable so ssd was connected externally. Went direct hdd to ssd, swapped drives and I'm in business. Oh how nice to have the laptop run so fast. Thanks for your early help.
