Missing 30-40Gb from SSD?

Hello, I'm running low on space on my SSD (20gb left apparently), so I decided to tally up what I have and see what I can drop. I quickly noticed that it wasn't adding up - with hidden folders, I'm using using about 42gb of my 110 gb ssd (103 gb in actuality). Looking into it some more, I checked things like shadowstorage, but only 1Gb is allocated to that. So there's still ~35 GB missing. Anything I can do to fix this? I found this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/335-system-protection-change-disk-space-usage.html already and that didn't help.

Thanks!

Thank you for that program. The missing 30gb is in Windows. Is there any way to cut this down a bit without breaking anything?

For starters you can get rid of the hiberfile. The command is powercfg -h off. Then you can reduce the pagefile to 2GB. Then you have to tell us what other BIG files you have.

You should also check the shadowstorage. The command is: vssadmin list shadowstorage

My 60GB SSD with a 4 year old windows 7 and a gezillion programs has 25GB of free space.

The other big files are:
-winsxs at 11.4gb
-Installer at 7.7gb
-System 32 at 5 GB

The rest are all at or under 1 GB. Shadowstorage has only been allocated 1 GB with a max of 1.5GB. getting rid of hiberfile did help, thanks :)

You could try running Disk Cleanup from the start search box and say yes when it asks you if you want to clean system files.

All fans PWM; speeds at idle: CPU circa 500 rpm; intake circa 600 rpm; exhaust circa 600 rpm; CPU temps 27 idle and 47 C load in a warm room (27 C/81 F) when running Intel Extreme Tuning Utility stress test.
Those 3 files you need. Don't touch them. Do what I posted above and let's hear what that yielded. You should also run the CCleaner. Make sure you check all temp files that apply.
