missing internet explorer 6

I installed the trial version of AVG after that my internet explorer6+ disappeared I reverted back to the free AVG but still no internet explorer when I try to downlaod it im told its already running there is nothing on add/removewould appreciate any advice iv tried system restore but that dosnt seem to be working either

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums .. Why are you using IE 6 .. ? Do a System scan ..

Welcome to Seven Forums libby22. How did you usually open IE? From an icon on the desktop? Is that what is missing?

I'm sure it was not IE6, but in any case, let's see if we can find whatever IE you do have. Let's start with this

Click on the start lower left> Click on All Programs> Do you see an Internet explorer icon?



If so, left click on it, does Internet explorer open? If so, see if you can surf normally?

Let us know how that goes, we can proceed from there. A Guy

Windows 7 came with Internet explorer 8 and is not compatible with any older version.
