Solved Mouse Suggestions?

Hum just had a quick flip through that Newegg place and well depending on the budget and what DPI you need -

Newegg.com - Logitech G700 Black 13 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser 5700 dpi Gaming Mouse
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826125164

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826501012
Most are around 1600 DPI from I can make out but again I do like my M6900 and the 3500DPI.

The full listing is very long at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...=1&Description=wireless+mice&x=17&y=14&Page=4

the 4000 series isnt the best, i have a 3000 series and it lasted for 2 yrs before i wore it out playing a lot of online games. im using their 6000 series and havent worn it out yet. how good of a mouse is how much your willing to dish out on a good mouse. logitech has a very good warranty but software for them is lowsy. their software isnt as precise as microsoft is.

Thanks,

Price not a problem if it is good- I've just had such bad luck with previous Microsoft Mice and I hated the fact that they wanted me to pay and send it to them prior to replacement.

Any other company I've dealt with, has always sent a replacement first and gave me a return shipping label.

Found it at Amazon - much less than $60.
I'll give it a try.

Funny you should mention that.

I just called Staples and they have them.
I also have a $16 ink rebate, so it all works out well.

Well, a final update to this thread.
It's hilarious.

I bought the Microsoft Mobile Mouse 6000 today.
Priced at $39.95 at Staples, but they price match, and I found Fry's selling it for $29.95, and I had $16.00 in ink rebates - so final price was $13.00.

Get it home and the Universal scroll doesn't work!!

Went to Microsoft Keyboard Ctr and realized you have to just set middle click.

Now it works, so I try my "defective" Mobile mouse 4000 with that setting and it works- this is after a Microsoft tech did a remote on my computer and told me it was defective.

Before i found out it was ok, I called Microsoft because they sent me an email to return the defective one ( and pay shipping) but they left off the order no.

The rep said - "we'll just send you a replacement" - keep the old one, no charge.

So now I have a new 6000, and perfectly fine 4000 and new 4000 on the way.

The 6000 is very nice, by the way - smooth as silk.:D

lazer is way better than optical. you should be able to move 4 foot away and it should still work.

try the magnifier button.

I tried that yesterday and it drove me CRAZY!!

My screen was increased to what seemed about 500% and I couldn't get rid of it.

I had to Google the solution- Accessories>access> magnifier and QUIT!!

if you installed software, you make adjustments in it for how fast you want pointer to move, how fast you want to scroll up and down, left and right, and theres a folder to click on to adjust how fast to open files by double clicking. i use the microsoft software even for my logitech. logitechs software isnt precise as microsofts.
