About an hour or so ago, my monitor put up the red screenshot I posted here below. A quick reboot then checking my Firefox history, I found about 50 instances of some sort of search which I promptly deleted each page. I will post what the history showed for the pages below the screenshot.
I'm just wondering if anyone has ever seen this before. I checked my account twice plus called my bank and all is fine so far.

@Sher, your screenshot is broken, but I managed to decipher its link and view it.

It says:
:warn: Mozilla Firefox Critical error!
Security system has detected the threatening attempt to gain access to your bank logins and related
data, but this dangerous connection was blocked with Firewall and further data leak was prevented...
..it goes on to say 'contact Microsoft Support and give a phone number. The fact that it gives a number for a so-called 'Suport' line, and the poor use of English identifies this as a scam.

This is a form of scam called Scareware. It is designed to get you to call the scammers number where you'll be tricked into giving them access to your computer. It is usually not a sign of actual malware, just a scary page from a site (either malicious or compromised) that you visited.

Microsoft said:
Scammers might also initiate contact by displaying fake error messages on websites you visit, displaying support numbers and enticing you to call. They can also put your browser on full screen and display pop-up messages that won't go away, essentially locking your browser. These fake error messages aim to trick you into calling an indicated technical support hotline.

Important
Microsoft error and warning messages never include phone numbers.

Yes, I'm thinking that also after seeing a post on the Mozilla site where someone posted almost the same exact big red error popup but with different phone number to call. I was a little concerned because then my firefox history started filling up with tons of links full of numbers and each site also had the word search in it., very weird and my system froze when that red screenshot came up.Hopefully all will be well. Thanx for responding and hopefully, this host site will work for the screenshot.

I guess I'm just not using the right syntax as that gives the same address as I saved before. Tried the
and I tried using the little 'insert image' button but neither worked. Will have to go the advanced route for this site to get it to work for me.

Yes, that's where I copied it from.

The problem is not the syntax or this site. The problem is at the other end, at the site hosting the image. Some sites will refuse the connection for an embedded image like yours. You are only allowed to see their images if you visit the site directly.

Try the same syntax, but host the image on Imgur.com as I have done here with a copy of your image from your link.

Ok, will keep the imgur site in mind for future. Since I closed my own forum little over a year ago, I've not been hosting many images. Searched for a host site and used the 1st one it gave me.
Thanx again for the helping hand.

I'd clear all cache and cookies. Then check out the now free software called Sandboxie for your browser. It will greatly help you control malware and what not as it should stay in the sandbox. On shut down all is gone. You'll have to configure Sandboxie so that your profile data sticks on browser exit.

Ads can and will be laced with malware, etc so either you picked this up that way or it was third-party script on a website.

Oh, yes, that screenshot is definitely a scam.

You'd think after all these years the scammers would be able to find someone who actually studied English grammar and can spell properly (e.g. "responce") to write their scam messages.

The site where I picked this garbage up was one of only 2 sites I was on, firedrivemovies and opensubs. I just don't recall for sure which one when I got that red screenshot. So surprised my AntiMalware retail didn't catch it or perhaps it did and I ignored it. Whatever, it was definitely a scam. It just irks me so that someone smart enough to build anything using a computer must love being on his/her computer so why would they want to hurt others who enjoy the same thing?

Edit.. (e.g. "responce")I didn't even notice that LOL
