What an adventure!

My computer suddenly would not load Windows. It simply went to a black screen with the flashing mouse cursor. I finally gave up and did a System Restore. (Backed up all my files, now can't recover them but I'll check into that elsewhere on the forum!!). The problem went away for a few starts, then returned.

After hours with HP Support, I was told to remove all 4 memory sticks and reseat them. Quite a feat for someone with MS, but finally got it done. Now the computer is running great, but I don't know if the problem is solved. There are no faults showing in the Windows Error file since I worked on the memory.

Is it possible to look at this and see if my problem is solved?

Thank you,

TnJim

Hello Jim, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Hopefully it was only your RAM sticks not properly seated that caused it.

Please go ahead read the instructions here: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions, and post back with the needed information if it's available. One of our BSOD experts should be by afterwards to further help. :)

Sorry, Chrome Crashed!

I'm sorry, but Chrome crashed while I was trying to Zip my files. I have sent two: one with all the diagnostics (the last crash happened a couple of days ago so the logs might not help) and a file showing all the Windows Errors shown in that log.

Sorry I violated protocol on my first post!

TnJim
