Hello All,

I have a Windows 7 64Bit OS. Lately I have been getting regular BSODs in my system.

BAD POOL HEADER
IRQL NOT LESS OR MORE
MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

I had sent my motherboard to ASUS service center and they say that there is no problem with the Motherboard as such. Then i thought there must be some issue with my system RAM. I had 6GB of RAM installed (2*3). So I tried switching them but it did not work. At last I removed one RAM and ran the computer with 4GB and it worked with no issues for few days and problem started back again. Please let me know what do I need to do.

Thanks & Regards,
Vaidyanathan

Could it be a power supply faulting out? I had similar ... erratic BSOD's ... Reduce ram and it works ... but then a day later it all cam crashing down again. removed my periferals one by one and then it would be good for a bit. Anyway ... to cut a long story short.... I have just recently rebuilt a 500watt PSU (had faulty filter CAPS) .... and all it well in the hood!

stripped down my PSU and 2 Caps have blown! problem solved ... and not bothering with this PSU as it was only a 320 watt unit anyway and I can't be bothered spending another $1.50 and the time fixing it Lol

Thanks KiwiXboxer, I forgot to mention that I have also replaced the PSU in my system. So that should not be the cause of the problem right?

Eset is a known cause to BSoDs on some systems. Please uninstall it.

I and many members on our forum recommend Microsoft security essentials with
a great combination of Malware Bytes.

:ar: Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows
:ar: Malwarebytes - The Free version
:ar: http://www.sevenforums.com/system-security/206705-good-free-system-security-combination.html

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

In addition, Run this tool and delete anything it finds:
:ar: Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller

Run the system file checker to repair any damaged files within windows:

Run disk check to recover any faults on your harddrive:

Look for an update on your BIOS version:

Download and install all updates from windows updates including service pack 1:

Additional suggestion
Take memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

Sorry for the delayed response. My Onboard VGA conked off and had to send my Motherboard for service. Just got it back. Not sure whether bad VGA caused the BSODs.
