Solved my laptop fails to restart.

hello guys.

i need some help here.

i've a problem with my laptop which it won't restart just like any other pc did. everytime i hit restart, windows will shut down normally, but when the screen turns black and suppose to restart at that point, it will stuck at there and won't restart, and then about ten seconds later, it will shut down itself. so it appears that the restart function turns out just like the shut down function.

and i thought it will be fine after formatting windows. but apparently it wasn't. i have been formatting my windows about 2-3 times but the problem is still there.

i've been thinking what has caused this problem, and then i realize that this problem started after i made some system's optimizing, using a program named Registry Easy.

anyway i'm in egypt and i'm sorry sorry with my english, my grammar, everything. i hope you guys will understand to the problem that i am saying here even my english is so bad and help me solve this problem. thank you again.

When you say you "formatted Windows", can I assume you meant "reinstall"?

Do you have another machine? If so, you can follow the instructions here for checking the machine's memory:

In spite of doing the worst thing you can do to your Win7 using a Registry Cleaner (besides CCleaner) the problem could be either hardware or software.

But to be sure you have the best possible install on a clean slate, I would wipe the HD with Diskpart Clean Command then follow these steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

yep. i meant reinstall. thanks for the reply but i think the solution that you just give to me is quiet complicated to be done huhu. plus i don't have another machine to do so. what should i do now?

The Clean command will wipe the whole HD so you need to back up all of your files first.

Be sure to follow the steps exactly so you get a perfect reinstall, especially how drivers are handled in WIn7 which is different.

You can also run Factory Recovery if you don't feel like doing the Clean Reinstall. Let us know the make and model of the PC you have.

he helped me remove the ram, and put it back to its slot. and just after that the laptop can be restarted again.

By the way, I don't know about that "Registry Easy" program, but I think you should know that most of the experienced forum members here consider most of those "optimizer" programs used on a w7 system can be more detrimental than beneficial. I'd reconsider Greg's recommendation as the use of some of those optimizers can damage the install beyond repair.
