My shut down button disappeared!

Okay, suddenly my Shutdown button in the Start menu disappeared (Win 7). Isn't there a registry entry or something that controls this? I've run Anti-MalWare to check for a trojan or anything that might have caused it, but my machine reports clean.

I don't want to create custom buttons, I just want the "factory" button back. Can anyone help?

If it's the power button in the Start Menu and not the arrow menu, then this will help show you how to change it back to Shutdown.

Okay, I ran it and it says "windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations."

I'll try the other suggestion and report back.


UPDATE:
Okay, weird. I just looked (before trying the second suggestion) and the Shut Down button has returned???? I'm assuming it had something to do with running the system file checker, even though it said there were no problems!
