Need Help Making DDR3 2400 Stable
I have been able to get my system to post and sometimes get into windows having my ram set to DDR3 2400. However I have yet to make it run stable enough to trust it. IE blue screens. Does anyone know simple things to check and what to set into the bios? Thanks

If the ram is compatable with the motherboard it should be plug n play.

How much ram is installed?

When the machine posts does it display memory<amount of ram> ok?

Is the ram recognised in the bios?

Yes, the ram is compatable with the motherboard.

However I am overcloking the ram from 1866 to 2400.

The ram is decteted by the BIOS running at 2400. However when I boot into my mac installation it only detechs 4 GB of my 16GB.

I am looking to find what settings people have tried to make their system stable when running this ram. I am only running at 4GHz when I am trying to run windows at this setting.

Unfortunately i am not an overclocker or familiar with the mac os.

Have you overclocked straight to 2400 from 1866 you may wish to try overclocking up from 1866 to 2400 in small increments checking that the system is stable and the RAM is recognised. and the temps are stable.

Did the mac recognise the full 16GB of RAM and the 16GB was recognised in the bios before you applied the overclock?

If it did i would remove the overclock and check that the full 16GB is recognised.
