Netflix - white screen audio only.

Been trying to sort this for about an hour now. Multiple reinstalls of FF / silverlight and flash have all been tried. I've also reset the network and flushed the dns.
I've tried it in firefox (where the problem started) with no luck
When I try in IE I can get the movie window playing, but it's incredibly small and low quality. As if it thinks it's a portable device or something.

Anyhow I'm open to any ideas I haven't tried yet.

Not sure if it's related but I also get a server not found window when trying to click the 'help' link on netflix in both browsers.

Well your not the only one with Netflix issues...a few of my mates across the pond are having similar issues as well....your not alone.

After all that work the problem seems to have magically resolved itself only moments after I posted this.

I wish I knew what I had done to fix it, but the things I actually tried seemed to have very little affect on it.


edit: ...and it's back again. I've figured out the trigger at least, it's a specific video.

Okay the problem seems to be something in the relationship between firefox and silverlight. I was finally able to get silverlight to load again after forcing it in chrome several times. Everything seems back to normal for now. I suggest nobody attempt to watch top gear uk S7 e7 in the meantime. Something is broken with it and it seems to cause this problem.

Not sure are you still having issues, just checked and my laptop, desktop, android and smart tv are now all up and running again and help is now available.
