Network disconnects when computer sleeps & wont reconnect

Hello. My computer's internet disconnects when I put it to sleep, as if I hit the disconnect button. When I restart it, I have to manually reconnect to my network, and it takes quite a long time. It says "this is taking longer than usual." Before this happened, I had an issue where the internet would disconnect randomly every 20 or so minutes due to a gateway issue. I ran the troubleshooter and it fixed it every time, but it got frustrating. I finally installed some drivers, and the gateway issue was fixed, but this issue presented itself. Thanks in advance.

1. This is a wireless connection issue.

2. AT&T is my ISP.

3. I think I'm using DSL, it's through the phone box.

4. My router is a Netgear router.

5. I use Malwarebytes.

6. Here is my ipconfig.

Hi and Welcome to Seven Forums,

Thank you for all the detail info that you've provided, they are all quite helpful. Your Xirrus snip and ipconfig/all output looks good.
You might want to disable the Power Mode setting of your Wi-Fi adapter in Device Manager see if that helps, here's an image.

Can you also try a wired connection if possible and see if you can replicate the issue?

Thanks for the image. This seems to be the most common solution, although I have tried it on multiple occasions with no luck. I have a few network adapters, though. Should I try the solution you provided on some of the other ones? I only tried it on the first two. Also, would you recommend uninstalling any of them?

Can you please clarify this? You meant other Threads that I've subscribed in.

I'd like you try a wired connection please.

Also, it won't hurt to update your Wi-Fi adapter, you may go to Intel site.

Anybody in your household that's heavily utilizing the bandwidth that you're not aware of?

Can you also post your Speedtest?

What I meant by that was that should I try the Power Management solution on the other Wi-fi adapters?

You're saying that you'd like me to plug a wire to my computer and into the router and then try closing the computer and seeing if it continues it's behavior?

I'll check to see if I can update the drivers via the Intel website.

Nobody is heavily using the network.

No need too.

Hopefully updating the Intel driver helps.

I'd always suggest to best download the driver from the manufacturer site. You may do a manual download by selecting Find by Category, start here and it should be straight forward.

When it asks for a product family, do I say Wireless Networking? If so, do I select Wifi Networks or WiMax?

Edit: Might be easier if you click on Windows Updates, under Optional Updates choose the Intel wireless adapter that you have (if available).

or the hard way:
Please download and install Unknown Device Identifier, this freeware will give you a detail specs of your ethernet adapters. Take a snip of your Network Adapters and post it here. I'll find the correct driver for you.

I went under the "Optional updates" under Windows Updates and it said nothing about an Intel Wireless Adapter.

Sorry if I'm making this difficult, but since I had a difficult time finding where my Network Adapters were, I went ahead and saved a list of my devices: (It's a really extensive list, so I'll edit it out of the post if you find the correct one. This forum doesn't seem to have the "spoiler" feature where you can put large bodies of text into a particular box that you click to expand the text.)

I hope that you did all the Windows Updates. Can you please give us a snip of the Optional Updates?

I'll find the driver for your Intel Wi-Fi adapter while awaiting for your reply.

I'll do the Windows Updates today. Also, my computer just blue screened and it said "driver_power_state_failure." I restarted it and the network problem seems to be fixed for the time being, I'll keep you posted.

EDIT:
This happened. (I go through that about 5 times a day.)

The network dropped again.

If this helps at all, my sister and I share a power cord for our laptops, so my computer is often on battery power.

Thanks. I downloaded it and ran it. A loading box appeared in the middle of my screen as if it was loading. No installer came up or anything, but when I put my computer to sleep this last time and turned it on, everything seemed normal. I also installed the Windows Updates. I'll restart my computer and let you know what happens.

I am not currently using my home network, but the issue continues to present itself.

Are you still encountering BSODs aside from disconnection when you put your computer to sleep mode?

I haven't had a BSOD recently, no.

This time we might have to try changing the Channel, although I don't see any interference, we can still give it a try. If no one is using Channel 11, please use that one. Do you have the LogIn credentials for your router?

I apologize, I'm not sure what a channel even is. No need to explain it, but if you could just tell me how to use Channel 11. I have my router password, if that's what you are talking about.
