Solved New, fabulous email client?

Hello,

I have been weaning myself away from my Outlook dependency. Especially for tasks, it was not doing what I needed.

Now, I would like to find a new email client. I like the performance that a desktop application has, but I would like to find something a litttle bit more pleasing than Outlook...

For example, when I was beta testing the Office 2010 suite, I was able to send messages to the developers, and when the message was sent, a piece of paper was created with the message, then folded up into an envelope and swished off the screen. I would like an email client that does these types of animations.

Is there anything out there to consider, besides Thunderbird? I also want something that has an easy way to back up the files and store emails in folders.

You might consider trulymail. I switched to it from thunderbird a while ago and i'm quite happy with it.

I appreciate the referral, and I *did* check it out, but then I remembered that I will soon be switching to either iPad or iMac, so there is no need to completely bail on Outlook just yet.

Glad to help. Actually, my wife uses TrulyMail on her MacBook Pro via VMWare Fusion. She seems to like it a lot (but I prefer Windows).
