Hi everyone I recently decided to build my first rig… so far not entirely successful. Here is the thing when I turn it on I passes the bios thing and then it goes to the win7 screen and it freezes for a sec then a blue screen shows up for millisecond and resets. And that’s happening again and again never completes the boot. I can go to Startup Repair to and it passes all the tests the end message on the log is "unspecified changes to the configuration might have caused the problem” and then it says below it successfully passed but again after the restart it freezes blue screen and restart. It is win7 Ultimate. Here is the funny part I have old PC with win XP home edition I switch the HDD only the HDD nothing else and it boots fine. All the components are recognized. I am sure the HDD with win7 is fine because I tested it on the old pc and it boots just fine. Btw I am testing it securely outside the box and the Open Case restart option is disabled. Please help me out here I just have ran out of ideas what the problem might be. Thanks in advance.

there is update on the error

0x0000007B (0xFFFFF880009A9928, 0xFFFFFFFFC0000034, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000

it suggests to check for viruses and to remove any newly installed drives (thats the only HDD connected) and run CHKDSK /F

note! I am using the same HDD right now on my old PC that is Pentium D with 2Gigs of Ram if that matters at all

Yes.
You are supposed to install W7 on the pre-assembled machine.
If W7 was installed on a hard drive that was installed in another machine it will not boot because it can't find any of the drivers it needs for the new machine.

There are ways of doing a "Repair Install" to get the current W7 install to work on the new machine - let us know if you want to go that route - but all said, a fresh install is your best bet.
