No audio on videos

I have a Lenovo v570 when i started to watch videos the sound goes in and out i don't hear anything then it freezes when i pause and unpause it the sound comes back but i have to keep pausing the video for the sound to come back this just started yesterday it wasn't doing this earlier how can i fix this? i was getting a message last night saying your computer is low on memory but i have 6gb

yes i sometimes have skype open but its closed today

What browser are you using? I would try with a different browser and see if it does it

I'm using firefox that's the browser i always use i just tried watching on internet explorer sound on video seems to be fine

yes i tried it with internet explorer i watched an entire video without the problem but i've always used firefox i didn't have issues with sound until i kept getting the your computer is low on memory message

Sound like your firefox has a memory leak. Try a re install of firefox, it may fix it

i already have the new version i posted on firefox and they told me to disable protected mode after i did that it seems i can hear audio without it going out

The protected mode fix so it's understood is with FLASH...

find MMS.CFG file location

run at a command prompt:

dir /s mms.cfg > mms_cfg.txt

From your Windows system partition root, likely C:\

once completed that .txt will show you where yours is...

edit the mms.cfg and add this one line: [probably wise to close anything using flash like Firefox! first.]

Protected Mode=0

save it and you are done.

If happy with Firefox 20.0.1 the previous version, I would wait on 21.0 for a bit, I think there are some other bugs that need a patching.
