No Audio Output Device is Installed

I am a very new computer user I am 70 yrs old woman & my sound just went out all of a sudden I cant find a good Driver Updater that is free or I am not looking in the right place Can u Help I have checked connections to the computer P.S. am i even in the right place to ask

Hi Oldladystarr, welcome to the Forum.

A driver failure is unlikely to be the cause. It is more likely a hardware failure problem. From what you have said you have checked all the external wiring & plugs to be sure they are secure. If you are not really into computers & diagnosing problems it might be best to get professional help at a good local computer shop.

What are you doing when that occurs? Do you hear sounds when your system starts up?
