My laptop is an eMachines E725 with a 3GB DDR3 RAM. I installed the Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit version on it. When I open 'My Computer', I can't see any icons sometimes. I can't even see the thumbnails of picture files. In order to correct that, I have to go to Control Panel everytime, close it, and then open 'My Computer'. How can I get rid of this problem?

I wish I could explain it in better detail but my computer lingo isn't that great. PLEASE HELP ME!

Try resetting your folder views by opening Explorer and clicking on "Organize" then clicking "Folder and Search Options"

Then go to the "View" tab and, finally, click on "Reset Folders"
