Solved No Main Screen When Installing Windows 7!

You'll need to boot the Win7 installer or Repair CD to wipe the HD with Diskpart Clean Command
which I posted earlier so I dont' know why you're asking how to wipe the HD again.

IF the disk will not boot then burn another using ImgBurn at 4x speed.

Where did you get Win7? How do you plan to activate it?

Thanks for answering again...
I'm now formatting my c: drive on which xp is installed and where I want to install win 7 and i created 2 partitions and one will be just for the windows.

I got the 30 free trial windows 7 ultimate from this site.

I will keep posting my progress here.

There is no 30 day free trial for Windows 7. You should not install it unless you have purchased it.

What is the OS which came on preinstalled on the PC? Do you need help reinstalling it?

Or do you want to purchase Win7?

I finally installed it and it works perfectly... until it freezes which is bout 2-3 minutes after startup.

Here is what I did to install my windows 7:
-Cleaned all dust in the PC case
-Removed 1GB of RAM
-Disconnected HDD which I don't need for installation
-Took out my TV card
-Formated my HDD and created 2 partitions

I waited about 10-15 minutes to load the main screen which is cool with me as long as it's not restarting anymore and from that it was all easy.

Thanks to all who helped in any way but could you just help me with my freezing problem, In safe mode it doesn't freeze AFAIK

Edit: I found that removing one RAM stick solves the freezing problem. Anyone know what could I do to make it work with all 2GB in?

perhaps we should consider the possibility you have a bad stick of ram.
It actually winds up explaining a lot of this mess.

I turned on some option in BIOS (dont know the exact name) but it does something like correcting RAM problems on the fly and now everything works perfectly with all RAM memory inside.
