Hi guys,

I got 2 OS. One is XP and the other Win 7.

2 days back I got an external casing for my 80 GB IDE HDD (Desktop Comp not laptop) as it was just lying around.
There are 2 partitions split equally and it works fine in XP. It has the safe remove feature working perfectly.

But there is no safe remove for the same thing when i connect it to Win 7. I have 2 or 3 pen drives and the safe remove feature is active when i plug them in. The OS detects the 2 partitions and I can transfer files and do everything but there is no eject feature even if I right click. In other words, win 7 considers it as a internal HDD. What do I do ?

(I tried USB safely remove and other such software but it says that it cannot be disconnected,,try closing any other program and all that mambo jumbo)

All suggestions appreciated.
