Solved No sound in windows 7

Well this is funny, it does the exact same installation as the previous ones you sent me (Realtek), and it does the same thing. Creates the folder, but nothing installed. I downloaded the 2 ones under AUDIO, extracted them, and ran them both. Same thing. Do I need to make sure I get all of them done?

No you only need the first one under the AUDIO tab in the link...this is bizarre:shock:

Did you run the installer as an Administrator?
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11841-run-administrator.html
Yes I did, same thing. I've done all that I can think of. I'll start posting some screenshots, maybe I'm just being really dumb and doing the wrong thing, but I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right. The window on the bottom left is the folder I downloaded, I ran AsusSetup, did the same wizard, and installed the same folder that does nothing. (The one in the top right).
Can you tell me what is in that Driver folder?...

A BSOD? And do you mean try re-installing the driver I downloaded? Or the method you just showed me recently through the device manager

BSOD = Blue Screen of Death

Yes...uninstall the two High Definition Audio Codecs present in your Device Manager (Right-Click -> Uninstall) -> reboot. Then re-do the method above that caused your BSOD

Uninstalling them and restarting just re-created both devices again. Does that mean it worked? Hitting next also gives the same warning I got last time.

Still nothing. Restarted too

Are you sure that the speakers you are using are perfectly fine? The audio drivers look to be working perfectly...

I've used both my speakers and my headphones. Both of which were working before I did the upgrade. Whenever I unplug or plug into my computer though I can hear some sound comming out of it, the same you would when you plug in a speaker.

If I play a song in WMP, the bars on the right of the bottom one go up and down, but still no sound from either my speakers or headphones. I've also tried plugging my headphones directly into the port rather than through the speaker

Have you checked your BIOS, and set all sound to AC'97?

How would you go about doing that? I've never had a problem like this happen before so I'm kind of technologically illiterate here.

Sort of. I know its the boot up system before windows opens up, I've just never done it before. I believe you hit F11 and then go from there?
