Extremely often NOT RESPONDING signal- Mostly when attempting to play a music mp3 file -- System hangs for a while until i get a not executable message -- It happens about 50% of the time --
I have been told that the problem is due to WMP and that I should UNINSTALL wmp3 completely and then re-install -

I have read some comments indicating that there could major problems in doing this-

Would appreciate any advice from you I am on W7 64 bit

Thanks,,, ralph

Hello neorican

Try turning Wmp off rebooting and turning it back on through programs and features - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/5023-windows-features-turn-off.html and also try running a system file check - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
Windows media player cannot be uninstalled as it is shipped with the Windows 7 install and there is no download for it anyway. Turning it off is as close as you can get to removing it.

Regards Danny
