Thank you. Yes, I have the old drive, but I don't think I can do much with it since I don't have any housing for it.
I do have good news to share. At some point earlier this week one of the Outlook data file attempts I made to back up did work. When I opened Outlook and connected the data file, I got the same scan.pst message as I had with the old hard drive. The scan took about an hour. Then it started to repair the file, and that took another half hour or so, but it worked. There were some folders that were "lost and found," but at least I have most of my emails in the right places, my contact list and my calendar. (I was starting to lose track of my appointments without that!)
So, now I'm working through some issues with password pop up windows and sending errors, but I can manage those.
