I have another machine with NVIDIA 6200A-LE. It's not there for me either. I think it may only be for x2 cards.

I just finished updating the Nvidia driver from 191.07 to 195.62, and that Power Management Mode line still isn't there. I'm not certain of the specs for this BFG card, but I have an EVGA 8800GTS that I might try later.

EDIT: I'm not too sure about this new driver, because the screen has been going to black momentarily and I can hear the Windows device disconnect and reconnect sound repeatedly longer than normal (After the installation completed). At first, I tried to install the driver directly without uninstalling 191.07 and it popped a dialog saying that it wasn't compatible, but after uninstalling the previous driver and rebooting, it proceeded without that error, so I don't know.

Well, I guess I can forget that, because I'm not going to buy a new card anytime soon.

You can play around with those drivers all you want but if your system isn't stable it won't matter. Try running Prime Blend overnight so as to find out if your system is truely stable or not otherwise you are just spinning your wheels.

This same file has come up a million times and it's only a product of the problem but it's not usually the actual problem.

It's interesing because with all the computers I have had in the past, I have never had one that would crash just from a driver problem. In fact I have seen way more machines fixed by adjusting the bios or replacing hardware than by changing drivers.

There is almost always an underlying problem that has nothing to do with drivers. In my experience system instablity or bad hardware is the biggest cause of crashing bar none.

As things stand now, the SI controller and TV tuner are disabled in the Device Manager, the Nvidia driver is updated to 195.62, SpeedFan is updated to 440, and nForce4, Process Explorer and ACPI remain unchanged. I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens.

I'm not certain how it compares to Prime Blend, but I ran a 6 hour check with HotCPU and it found no errors in any of it's testing parameters. I also ran several passes with MemTest86, again without issues. At this point, I'm satisfied that there is no instabiliy problems with my system, except that these tests don't directly test the video card, but if I understand, Prime Blend wouldn't do that either. So far, I'm not getting any closer to pinpointing the problem.

I just installed a program call BlueScreenView, which displays the data of the minidumps, and it lists the cause of these particular BSODs as dxgknl.sys+5cef8. I have no idea of what the alphanumerical portion is, but Googling dsgkml.sys I came across a number of threads that seem to describe problems similar to mine. This one:

dxgkrnl.sys BSOD

Speaks of KB953026 as a potential fix, but it only applies to Vista and WS2K8. Still it leads me to believe that the that the problem is somewhere in W7 or DX. Any thoughts about this?
